A bird is born to fly
Freedom is his heart's cry
Don't clip his wings
Don't put him in cage
Trees are his shelter
Sky is his desire
Unlock the cage
Let him soar
Let him explore
Freedom is everyone's right.
It is the act of a callous man, a bird is born free and it should not be caged. Nice passion, thanks for sharing
One important factor behind many of the battles in human history has been on the issue of the attainment of freedom! Freedom is something we crave like the air we breathe. Even if one is surrounded by all amenities, if he doesn't have freedom, he will find his life miserable. If so, think of a bird which is created for the sky being shut in a cage! Simple, but profound write!
Freedom is everyone's right.. yes, I am agree with this. In the creation of God every one has to move freely. So a bird must not be caged. I also dislike to cage birds. It is a beautiful sensitive poem.
Don't put him in cage Trees are his shelter Sky is his desire- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - How sad we would be if we lived in a little room with windows all about us for large creatures to peer through at us instead of living free to run and leap and dance in the wide world beyond those windows. Love how you expressed the need these wild animals feel. Unerring words, my dear.
We still live in a world where not everyone accepts your assertion: FREEDOM IS EVERYONE'S RIGHT But that free bird, soaring, careening, looping in free flight proves we cannot deprive anyone of such joy. I want to exercise my freedom today, right now!
Nosheen, And your poem is par excellence. It symbolises the right to freedom every human being. It is said about the slavery that was prevalent in the US, that every man is born free; it is other men who steal this freedom from him.. And for freedom, sky is the limit. In the history, many a ruler has tried to curtail freedom of the citizens: Indira Gandhi did it in 1975. The British had colonised a good part of the globe for centuries. Hitler did it differently in Auchwitz.Under Stalin, USSR had gone through the same nightmare. For centuries, the colored in South Africa suffered the same plight. But ultimately, the will of the people- their will to freedom succeeded. Again, India is facing the wall! ! ! ! ! Thank you Nosheen for this excellent write.Obliged.A mighty 100+++++
Hi Nosheen, A new poem from you after many days. Most welcome. This poem on freedom reminds me of Malayalam poem by late Mal poet Smt. Balamani Amma (She is the mother of renowned bilingual poet Kamala Das) , by name Vittayaykkuka. Her poem was written during the times of the Freedom Struggle of India, wherein she had participated very actively. And, this poem is just symbolic of the freedom struggle..
Simple and poignant.......Freedom is indeed everyone's right. Seldom we fail to understand the value of the freedom. Let live and let live others the way they wish to. Fantastic message.100+++
