Uncovering this earthen cover
New pot is opened little,
Freshly rice is cooked inside,
This will be served as holy food.
Beauty the potter has shared,
Selecting soil he has made it,
This cover is so pretty,
We remember back olden days.
This is the veil of the pot,
Now this is uncovered again,
A little uncovering shows,
Tenderness of service and joy.
Earthen cover of new pot,
The is made in a wheel of time,
Potter has made it with due care,
From fair we have brought it.
Going towards again olden days,
Many are buying earthen pots,
To cook and eat healthy food,
Water they will keep inside.

My heart filled a bit with nostalgia. Beautiful poem. Excellently written.
These days are outdated. Earthen pots are hardly seen at present. Your effort in highlighting the importance of food cooked in earthenware is exceptional. This is a special poem.
Beautiful poem giving importance to pot cooked healthy food. Very true said today cooking in pot is very less in cities, perhaps even in villages. Loved the concept.
Oh my God! I have never thought to see again Earthen pots. You are really rare of rarest poets. I appreciate you. You have gone beyond time and written sweet poems introducing values of earthenware. You are really a special poet.
This tender tradition, this slowing down and simmering of life. Not to rush but to be appreciated in the old earthern pot. The interconnection of ancestors and timeless preparation are deeply cherished.
Those memories are so rejuvenating. And yes I too have seen the return of earthen pots. A very refreshing poem adding beauty to a small fragment of everyday life and reconnecting us with a bygone era.
