Empty Arms Poem by Practicing Poetess

Empty Arms

Rating: 5.0

Empty arms that ache
'Cause you're not here with me
How much can I take
Of this sheer misery?

Thought I'd hear your voice
And be fine, as before
But the sound of you
Just makes me miss you more.

It is such a tease
To hear you on the phone
Then, to realise
I'm still here, all alone.

Hurry back, and soon
Please take away the pain
Eager arms will hold
And love you once again.

once I come back I'll hold you in my arms and from that moment we will never part

I wouldn't object at all to being super-glued together, forever, with the right man! Thank you, Louis, for your sweet & tender comment! :)

I can relate to that type of emptiness felt right from the heart. When you love someone, you want to be near them all the time. When you close your eyes you can see them in your mind but when you open your eyes, you can only see the emptiness of him not being there. I hope your man returns in your arms soon!
