EVERYDAY POEM-23
9th April 2026
Trust and mistrust are
Both sides of one coin.
When there was truce
World rejoiced
People keep their fingers crossed
Sighing relief.
Then came bombardments
And destruction ensued
Trust gives way to mistrust
What will come next?
Peace or more war?
Life or death?

These are all thoughts that have been in everyones mind for the past few weeks... thank you for sharing your own musings. May the God grant us peace in the weary world!

Great thoughts to ponder. A very timely write. Peace has become elusive.

Whatever happened to world leaders who were guided by true prophets and not those false prophets who are leading us to The Apocalypse? Hopefully, poets will put some of them back on the right track!

There is no end to the hatred and destruction. May peace prevail. Very nice poem

A philosophical question: What comes next? Will good or evil prevail? The answer doesn't lie with poets, but poets are those who constantly share in the suffering of others. Poetry is the cry of humanity and the true language of the soul. Well done, our poet!
