Evil White Angel - Poem by Julietta Niveanco
She lies there so pure, looks you dead in the eye
Anticipation alone is enough to get high
Temptation prevails, time to say your goodbyes
Nose to the straw, straw to the line...
If you come face-to-face with that sparkling white dust
You'll soon see why turning away is a must
Disguised as true love, only sinister lust
Abandons the souls who have given their trust...
There’s a few certain things I vowed never to do
Confident this one crisis I'd never go thru
Forever this stays between God, me, and you
Cocaine is the name of the trap I fell into...
Been there, done that; though it was fine
Nose candy yea sure, but not all the time
Soon unable to refuse when offered a line
And so began this Cocaine addiction of mine...
When dealing began, things started to turn
How could I not realize I had so many concerned
Countless mistakes from which I fail to learn
At the edge of this cliff, I'll soon crash and burn...
What will it take me to finally stop?
Will it be the day I have that run-in with a cop?
Possibly after I climb my way up to the top?
Or not til the day I do too much and drop...?
In this life, if there’s only one thing I know
You may reach the top, but there’s only down to go
Talent is wasting away on this blow
Officially arrived at an all time low...
Now that I've finally come to realize
Endless failures to stop when I've tried
Secrets I've gone to great lengths to hide
The number of those who I love I have lied...
No way to continue life at this rate
Refuse to allow that white devil to determine my fate
As much as I love him, I ten times as much hate
I pray this story is finished before it’s to late...
