EXTENDING MY HAPPY DAYS
In this evanescent life of mine,
I remain as a prisoner in the hands of time!
So let me live this day the best I can,
Since all my best laid future plans,
Remain subjected to vagaries of time!
But my happy hours of today,
Must be treasured and not lost,
And should be preserved at all cost!
By shedding tears for the past,
Or by anxieties for the morrow,
My happy hours may not be tarnished,
By any salted tears of sorrow!
So let me make this happy day,
To last out beyond the morrow!
