Fear Poem by Bharati Nayak

Fear

Rating: 5.0

What are you afraid of
Why no words come to your tongue?
Your pen has remained idle for ages
Fear has hung over you like a Burkha
From head to toe
You have sought security in a house
But how secured are you?
You have mortgaged your life
For a place without fear
But how fearless are you?
Shatter the chains of fear
Shower like moon beams from a clear sky
Dazzle like soft rays of a golden morn
Spread like scented spring breeze
Let the wayside traveler get ecstatic
By your sweet fragrance.
