Feel The Pinch Poem by nimal dunuhinga

Feel The Pinch

Rating: 5.0

From time to time in plain clothes
a man who goes everywhere in a placid mood
for his living.
Still he could not find a pinnacle.
His wallet has a disease called ' perishable'.
Only coins remain and the currency notes evaporate.
The breadwinner; a rolling stone
will never gather moss
and who destined to be a loner
in his lifetime.

I agree with Denis about the perishable wallet. Some are born to accumulate wealth, others not in a million years. I love the way you communicate with the reader in such a subtle way. I enjoyed this poem. love, Alison

'His wallet has a disease called ' perishable'. What a brilliant line my friend. This piece is again different from your style. You seem to be moving away from playing with words to allowing a greater level of transparency in your work. This is a wonderful piece. One thing that will not change is the Aesopian way of your narratives.
