Feeling Compassion

Rating: 5.0

There Is some strange string,
That unites us All,
As long as we feel compassion,
We can hear the human call.

I like the string that connects us all. Makes me think. I just write about humanity living on a tightrope. Connections, touch, string. The last line sings out: As long as we feel compassion/ We can hear the human call. Wisely written.

Compassion, for the other political party, and those of the other religions, or those without money, we all talk the talk but the walk feels kind of funny (at least we can restart fresh everyday!)

A nice poem! Maybe empathy and compassion are the first strings to bind us. Before love.
