May not he be a multi-millionaire
But his conscience must be clear.
Dipped his soul be in the empathy,
Wretched souls must get his sympathy.
No need be there to press or to demand
Voters adulation he has to command,
By selfless service and grave concern
And sincere work to mitigate their pain.
Between Parliamentarian and his voters
Let there be no separating barriers
Forcing him to go for his own security
A sign showing with voters infidelity.
No one is perfect, is truth universal
Yet avoided perfections' total dismissal.

A politician who comes into power should by all means stand with the people who voted him to power. He shouldn't be totally corrupt like the modern politicians. The trust people reposed in him should be respected. A fine write!
Yes you are true. In this universe no one is perfect. Very wisely penned a thought provoking poem definitely. Wise sharing.10
In most of the developing nations, politicians visit their constituencies during election, once elected there try to make money for themselves apart from enjoying the free facilities and comfort. There are true selfless politicians around, but they can't do anything for the people! People suffer in India! !
Relation between parliamentarians and their voters explained very well. But in reality, voters become the ladder for parliamentarian in Indian Democracy. Not good. Scenario should be changed. Well written.
