Forever Hazel Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Forever Hazel

Rating: 5.0

Hazel McCallion
To you this paean
Work was your life's passion
Never out of season

Born a loving leader
Never a follower
Controversial
But always cordial

Sharpest of minds naturally
Mayor of efficiency
Mississauga's pride and joy
Never Toronto's decoy

Curious, your profile states France, yet some themes are very Canadiana. (Gord Downie for one) Great tribute to Hurricane Hazel.

A most compassionate tribute. May Her Soul Rest In Peace And Rise In Glory. The rhythmic splendour of the poem is something to admire greatly. Remain enriched, Richard.

I never heard of her, which is no surprise: I live so far away, but I'm sure she had Hazel eyes...

She was so famous that complete strangers would ask for her autograph no matter where she went. Even in your neck of the woods, Cowboy!
