Genealogy And My Family - Poem by Donna G Fowler

I look up at this huge old tree
And wonder where my family will be
Each branch is different then the other
Meant special for my sisters and brother

My mom and dad will go right here
He was once in the Army, what a noble career
And mom she loved to stay at home
And raise us kids, till we were grown

My grandparents traveled from Kentucky to Ohio
And back they went, now that’s their bio
Boxes and boxes of pictures I hold
Some are clear, other’s with folds

All I really want to say
Is don’t forget the family you have today
Just to unbury the ones of the past
Make memories today that will always last
