Hardcore (Life) - Poem by James Ford Jr

Pain dwells within bloody knuckles
Sinister Eyes lock on an unconcious opponent
Waiting for another blow to be released the meanchuckles
Painful arising to a full stance while the mean one can no longer hold it
Tears fall with a trickle of blood down a battered humans face
Sadness arises as does the beaten body of a person with broken pride
Only mouthing off in a sense of badassness to hold face
Yet the broken has been taken for a physically emotional ride
Hardcore wasn't enough, walkin the walk, just walk away and keep your mouth shut
Bully taunts and antagonizes the hurt
Alreadey knowing defeat has salted the wounds alongside pain
Bloody face, brusied chin torn shirt
The broken stands tall and represents his name
You pushed me down and have taken away some steps of progress
But I'll keep my head up nontheless I have self confident eyes
I am beaten and bruised but I am still the best
Of us two, I still stand tall after defeat because I still have me myself and I to continue my drive
'I ran my mouth in defense to you the mean and didn't back down'
'I stood toe to toe and busted your lip, which sadly may have been my only hit'
You stand tall knowing you've beaten me but I will never give in
So the mean you stand tall and be happy for being a prick
I'll heal and push forward and continue livin
So you remember next time I take no ones shit
