He was born
He lived
He suffered to write
He died
His poems ask why

Note: the poem is not about Mr. Shalom Freedman (it was simply inspired by some of his poems) . It could be about any poet, it could be about you, or it could very well be about me.....
...beautiful.....amazing....i for one was STUNNED! ! ! .....thanks for sharing, dear
Poets can not die. They live in their poetry and continue to inspire others for ages.
I have read many poems of Shalom Freedman and I have liked those. His poems resonate in me. It's good that his poems have inspired other poets too to think about life and death and write a few lines. Your idea is good and it has been communicated well.
You are amazing in your choice of subject and ofcourse the content...great write Sonya
A very evocative title. It is not surprising that Shalom Freedom's work has inspired these spare, elegant lines. I believe his poems will have life beyond the calendar.A poet could ask for no more than this. Beautiful work, Sonya. Love, SandraX

You have done it again. Taken us straight to the kernel of your subject. No frills, no elaborations. Just truth unadorned. Excellent. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
