Hold Me Tender

Rating: 5.0

Hold me tender as I slumber
Stay beside me while I sleep
Be forever in my dreaming
Keep me close lest I should weep

Soothe my anguish in the morning
Ease my heart from noontime care
Then as twilight grows upon me
Promise that you'll still be there

So remain before the darkness

A beautiful poem on the sadness that sometimes we feel in life.Sometimes we feel lonely and disinterested in life. Very nicely crafted to make it touching. 'So remain before the darkness Touches all this troubled mind Linger in the night's cold shadows All my heartache to unbind'.. is a nice stanza. Loved it.

Very passionate plea for hopeful understanding, wanting to be renewed somehow without going through the intense solitude of loss. Totally squeezed my heart like a sponge filled with painful tears. Awesome poem with a symphony of sadness surrounding it. Great poem, Valerie. Love it. RoseAnn

Hold me tender as I slumber Rescue me from solitude Stay with me until the morning When the day be then renewed An excellent poem declaring the pain of soul which increases more with the torture of loneliness but great like you are those who forebear and share it.Well done. This poem has really taken my heart away. Col Muhammad Khalid Khan
