How Do I Do That? Poem by Jennifer Birchall

How Do I Do That?

Rating: 5.0

I know I cannot have you for myself
But selfishly, thoughts of you in another arms
Gives me pain, one I can't describe
I need to set you free
From my heart and soul

How do I do that?

A very good question. Not easily done, dear Jennifer. Often it takes someone new in your life, to replace the previous love. Until that happens, sometimes you must make an effort to direct your thoughts, energy, and time elsewhere. In any case, a very good poem! : -)

It's depressive but beautiful lines.

Been there, at the time I though I would never heal from such pain. I was blessed to meet a man who loves and respects me. I pray you will too. Thank you for sharing your heart. Big 10+++

A brilliant poem, Jennifer! You have laid bare the emotion of the heart, so honestly and naturally. Sometimes, you are in a situation where you want to hold on, at the same time, let go too! An outpouring of a genuine heart! Loved the poem......10

Giving somebody a lot of credit and authority, and conceding. Still, turning to this person for advice seems dangerous.
