I Care Poem by Luz Hanaii

I Care

Rating: 5.0

So you chose to hurt inside
Bleeding for the whole world to see
Yet no one stopped to say they cared

Useless tears of depression
Pain and frustration
Leading you nowhere
But back to your own flagellation

Carrying the cares of the world
Upon shoulders that
Could barely stand straight

Outward empty chatter
Faces laced with fake smiles
Of people going about
In a whirl wind of despair
Trying to find someone who really cares.

Sometimes it is like you are not there. Though sometimes I believe we put this great guard up like we do not need anyone. I understand, I care.

This is one of the most touching poems I have read. In this world where none cares to see the wonds of humanity I can feel the flagellaion of of one who cares and cries. A great poem that should have been selected as member's poem.

hmmm i learnt a new word today 'flagellation' (: ...i enjoy reading the poem it reminded me of my poems 'Crying' and 'Comforting Words'...I can relate to that longingness expressed in your poem. Well penned, and short and effective

Compassion might be faded by so much of material's need but compassion is the only way to preserve humanity and sincerity in us. I love this poem and well done. 10 for the wonderful poem.

The concept 'Human nature longs for care and affection, nothing else' is beautifully brought out. Thanks for sharing it.
