Eman Elbadawi

I Had My Tears Dried - Poem by Eman Elbadawi

First, I needed to cry
In utter pain
On every shoulder
I cried my eyes out
I cried
On every shoulder
That was available
I found - all
I found - pity
Not mercy.

Then, I went to cry
At His doors
I laid my heart
Down
On to the ground
Before
I knocked
'I'm here'
I found
My heart was in His hands
Again
I had myself
Veiled from pain
Soaked in mercy
And, with 'Love',
Sealed.

In complete surrender before Him one gets peace and happiness. There is nothing in worldly things that we waste our time to have. Nice poem. Liked its sincerity and simplicity. Thanks for posting and congratulation.

Now that is gorgeous writing! ! ! Not fancy, not strung up with sparkling lights, no glitter hanging off every word. Just simple truth simply said. It deserves a 10 but the page that takes votes is not working today- -but this deserves a 10 (Report)Reply

Indeed! Only He who stays with us when all the hollow claims retreat... He feeds... slakes and cures

Read my 'Sajda' which is akin to what has been expressed by you
