I Love You / Σ α ς α γ α π ώ

Rating: 4.8

She smiled.....
refreshing her thoughts
of what it was
she wanted to hear me say.
I laughed.....
nervously knowing
that once I would say
those precious few words
They would be hers forever......

This is so sweet, and it always makes the wife feel good if you include one you've written for her.

Gorgeous piece of writing, Mr. Sheridan... the Greek lettering gives it another touch that you don't normally get to see... at times it's all Greek to me too. Enjoyed this very much, thanks! Lee

I love this Ted, Consise and to the point. No word is wated and none are put in for show. The Greek characters are great because they add to the dimension. Many poets (myself included) have use different alphabets to add further appreciation. I have never seen a poem in which that use seems ponderous. This is an outstanding poem; made moreso by the simplicity of the language.

Yeah, LOVE is all Greek to me too, but the minute I read 'the words would be hers forever, ' I just melted...beautiful thought!

The title caught my eye immediately. It's actually two words, but the poem is immediate without being shocking, intimate, and heartfelt. Color me whimpy, but i love it.
