I’m Writing This As I Sit Here Crying, Missing You - Poem by Kay Conlon

I’m writing this as I sit here crying, missing you
The voice is behind me, insulting me, taunting me
Deliberately trying to upset me
And it’s working
With every snide remark, I cry harder and more bitterly
As every tear falls, my heart is broken
As it hits the floor, that little piece of me shatters

I’m writing this as I sit here crying, missing you
