I Seek Nothing Poem by Aarzoo Mehek

I Seek Nothing

Rating: 5.0

Weary of being, I retreat into solitude,
This soul has long been soaked in silent cries.
The world is a carnival of noise,
Within me — only echoes of quiet.

At times I think of leaving every tie behind,
Drink the poison, or rebel from my soul.
But before every path, before each destination,
A Light shines — the One Existence.

There are ‘ifs', there are ‘buts',
Yet beyond them all — You remain.
Even when broken, I did not bow elsewhere,
For every prostration was always Yours.

I seek nothing from the world,
If only You stay — even loneliness becomes mercy.
In Your remembrance I find peace,
And in Your thought — a complete life.

A very moving, touching and beautiful poem. The ultimate stanza says it all. Powerfully expressed.
