There is a place I go each day
A place where peace resides
I go there to re asses myself
Time ceases when I enter my silent domain
My conscience just taps my heart's door
And I sit quietly pondering on life
Confronting all my fears and pain
Making peace with all the disappointments
Erasing all the bitterness from my heart
And accumulating all the little joys
In my solitude I found myself
This is the place where I sit back
And rejoice life's elixir
This is the place where I interact with God
And drink the cup of peace from God's own hand.

I go daily to a place of deep thought and self awareness. I don't know how anyone could purposely miss out on the opportunity to explore their own mind.
The poem creates such a lovely feeling! It is in stillness that we can commune with God. It is in His serene presence that we can evaluate our day's activities, make necessary changes to our attitudes and fill our mind with the elixir of love! The 'Acharyas' and sages of old often used to withdraw into such silent retreats to listen to the dictates of their conscience and experience the inner Being in great depth! All vexations cease in such silence! Great write Aarzoo!
This poem is so soothing for the nerves. That's what we all need..silence n peace. Time for contemplation amidst the mad rush of this life. This poem inspires me to write one like this. A definite 10.
Sometimes, amidst the hurly-burly of everyday life what we need is a few moments of silence and peace, without it we will cease to be.. I often just sit in a canvas chair, play some soft music, ghazals or classical, sip on a cup of coffee, and look at the sky with or without stars.. It makes me feel good.. The world have become so full of noise now.. Everywhere people are yelling and screaming.. A little silence is so needed.. I can relate so much with this poem Arzoo.. This one is one of the finest poems of yours I have read., Thanks for sharing.
