I Think I... - Poem by Jennifer Keith

Past dead line walls through crowded halls you pace

Following behind in my mind I draw your face

Wishing you'd turn to me

Smile grows wider… '…'

Wishing you'd walk to me

Heart beats faster… '…'

Wishing you'd talk to me

Body grows weaker… 'Hello.'

You're consumed by the crowd bringing reality

...Come true…

Leaving me longing for more than this fantasy

I know what I feel for you…

Through a new crowd with converse so loud you pace

Friends force with no remorse for us to talk face to face

You turn to me

Smile grows wider… '…'

You walk to me

Heart beats faster… '…'

You talk to me

Body grows weaker… 'Hello.'

We leave with the disperse bringing more fantasy

…Came true…

Leaving me longing for more of this new reality

…but what do you feel for me?
