Idolatry Poem by Sandra Feldman

Idolatry

Rating: 5.0

The things
Poets,
Can in Poetry,
Make, come about!
The unfettered imagination,
That with wild dreams
They put together,
The passions, the loves
The emancipation,
Liberty!
Oh never closer to Poetry
Than when writing,
Now, present bow
In the inspired moment
That will never return
To tell you, how.

You are missing
So much!
If you are fool enough
Not to drink in this,
Fountain of pleasurable
Glory,
That only to Love
Does bow, .
And where feelings
Live free,
To forever roam about
In an idolatry of Life
And all, it is about!

A wonderful poem that captures the many mysteries and wonders of Poetry. Yes, it is only in Poetry where feelings live free. So beautifully and wonderfully written.
