If I Could Paint A Picture Poem by ANDREW BLAKEMORE

If I Could Paint A Picture

Rating: 5.0

If I could paint a picture
Of this calm and wondrous view,
I know I couldn't capture all
The spirit that's within.

Hills so green that carry me
Towards the glorious sky,
And draw me ever closer to
The spirit that's within.

And standing there for centuries
So many eyes have seen,
Their beauty and their spleandour felt
The spirit that's within.

The shadows and the sunlight
On the landscape so serene,
All shaped by flowing rivers and
The spirit that's within.

Painted with such skill Andrew. What a lovely line - The Spirit that's within' - love it. It has a very ethereal feeling to it. Love and hugs Ernestine XXX

Ahh but you did paint a picture, that we all can clearly see. From this palate of blended words you have penned - so tenderly! A delightful read Andrew! *10*! ! Friend Thad
