She'd probably be Daddy's girl
All smiles for you, as she jumped and twirled
Perhaps she'd even have your curls,
If she had lived.
She'd be your princess, that's for sure
Flirt with her Daddy, so demure
And she'd spread joy that would endure,
If she had lived.
You'd be her hero, despite flaws
Protect her, be her Santa Claus
Encourage her with much applause,
If she had lived.
She would be far too cute to scold
Climb on your lap for you to hold
Look after you when you were old,
If she had lived.
She DOES live, in another place
And she awaits to see your face
When Death beckons you, and you end this race,
You both shall live.

Very nice write. I like this very much. Keep up the great writing.
if she had lived she'd be a heart breaker instead of being with the undertaker
Yes, Louis, it sounds as though she would have. Definitely all girl. Thanks for reading!
There is comfort and understanding in the words you have written.
Thank you, dear Jennifer, for your kind appreciation. Sadness and beauty can co-exist!

Many thanks to you, Dr. Tony! It is always sad when a child is born, but then does not live long enough to experience life on this earth. And it tears the hearts of the parents apart.
