If You Close Your Eyes
If you close your eyes,
Can you still feel my hug?
Can you feel my imprint on you
From when we were warm and snug?
You phoned; asked if I was okay
I said, I'm missing you
We shared a laugh, concluded with
'Beans and Nachos'*, as we do.
While glad to hear your voice, I miss
Your loving arms around me
I was secure when I would feel
Your warmth and strength surround me.
Take care, Mi amor. When you return,
We'll both be so excited.
How sweet will be the day when we
Are finally reunited.
Dedicated to my traveling man, who is away on a L-O-N-G trip!
