Your body runs its course
It lies under the trees
And lush green grass
Your voice and laughter
Are carried by the wind
You are gone
But your spirit stands.
You are gone
Yet you are with us
As we raise our glasses
With sparkling wine
As we sing to our hearts content
To celebrate the unfolding
Of a beautiful day.
You are in our midst
In times of happiness
In times of sadness
When we reap
The fruits of your plants
When we set up the karaoke
For us to sing.
On this beautiful day
You are in the core of our hearts
In the recesses of our minds
No matter
What we do
Where we at
What we are.
