Will you come, oh, my Lord?
To touch and heal my bleeding heart
When I sob in suppressed agony,
Ease my heart, so torn apart
I entreat with a voice distressed
To the one who always feel my pain
Heal my hurt and purge my heart
Of the sins which tacitly remain
I stagger under the weight of life
No one around to ease my grief
I see you standing beyond my reach
Beckoning me with assurance of relief
But a chasm separates you and me
My legs grow weary as I limp,
My body ails with every forward step
Oh, come and carry this staggering lamb
I see my path lying dark
Grant me light that I will not grope
Lend your hand in my tight rope walk
That if fallen, I can spring back and hop
I know, the opulence of this world
Can never ever fill my heart
It is in the sweetness of Thy love
That I see my life’s whole comfort
Lord, I keep my door wide open
And with a garland I wait for Thee
To you, I surrender all my life!
Oh! Come, my Lord to reside in me!

You really capture a mood...that once believed permanent slipping away. A remarkable verse, Valsa. And congratulations on the poem of the day.
An excellent praise to the Lord. A poem with brilliant rhymes. A fantastic Devotional for this Holy week. This is especially for the members of the Roman Catholic Church.. As for the Protestants too, in a different way, the same devoted attitude. I have enjoyed very much your magnificent praise so loveliest worded, Valsa. God's Blessings.
