We are solely for citizen services,
only from lips they say.
Once elections won,
all vows are forgotten.
Jumping like moneys,
they change their parties.
Frequent changes of loyalty
to different parties,
Like chameleons change
colours to hide from adversaries.
Hook or by crook, win the election,
is their chief concern and mission.
Enjoy free amenities, power and position,
Poverty alleviation and all round
development is the slogan.
Accusing the previous ruling party,
is the usual and only habit.
The conscience, characters
and habits don't alter,
Only the party symbols change,
depict a deceptive exterior.
Tall talks and vain promises
rain like cats and dogs.
All disappear like the
morning sun clears the winter fog.
When lot of the poor undergoes
improvement,
can the rich exploit them?
Corporates and their companies
fund the costly elections.
More favours (quid pro quo) are
granted to them in return.
Never a heaven can be
established in this planet.
It is only a gimmick
and false reality.
A very straightforward and incisive write. Deception has been embedded in politics since time immemorial. The annals of history support this premise. Powerful poem.
Indian politics is a circus. There is no loyalty to any one party or sincerity to serve people. Real write. Thanks.

I would like to translate this poem
It paints a cynical picture of the political landscape, emphasizing the need for genuine change and accountability. Marvelous poem.
My heartfelt regards to u.
