Humming of endless mystery
Life glides down noiseless
Like a trail running into the dark
With thick drapes drawn down
What is anticipated, rarely happens
What is dreamed, never even half realized
What occurs, never in advance sighted
What is sighted, not fully understood
Struck upon the verge of mysteries
Clueless we stay, placing our hands
On the door latch of mysteries
Which we are never able to open or enter
Life began in hideous mystery
And it will end up also in mystery
Know that much is beyond our grasp
And not every puzzle is intended to be solved
Is it not foolish to raise a thunder storm
By beating hard upon a drum?
So probe less and accept life
That unfurls in its natural sequence!
Life began in hideous mystery And it will end up also in mystery In between lies all the intrigue. Maybe life is interesting as a result. We must do all we can to keep it exciting by extending help where needed.
This is the kind of truth that man has the hardest time accepting. We always want to explore, experiment, and discover everything about everything. But that just isn't always possible or necessary. Not everything is meant for us to understand. I wrote about a similar topic in my poem Messages of the Wind.

So fluid, so strong, so determined not to flinch- - the perfect soul to look unflinchingly at life. Outstanding write- - 10+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Susan, this is your second comment on this poem! So happy that you have been tempted to read it a second time! You are one of the most vociferous persons who make beautiful comments. I read your comments posted on the poems of other poets too and it is a pleasure! You zealously do it as an avowed mission and not as a task or obligation and I see poetry in it! Besides you are so very encouraging, that you make each poem special! No wonder you are able to snatch a lot of attention within this short span of your appearance on poem hunter! Thank you so much dear poet friend!
The last two lines are true wisdom! Life is a revelation. Just watch its blossoming every second all around. You are turning very philosophical these days! First it is about pranava, then about the taste of the potion of life and now into profound wisdom! (10)
A wise philosophical poem and a beautiful one like most of your poems. To quote from the poem- - Life began in hideous mystery And it will end up also in mystery Know that much is beyond our grasp And not every puzzle is intended to be solved
It's a great poem, to really enjoy the good comments there must be a bad comment, it's life. I appreciated your poem not as a friend but as a reader, I found it a thoughtful poem.
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
So probe less and accept life That unfurls in its natural sequence! ..................well, there is good probing and bad probing. because i didn't do enough good probing, i flunked out of college. [no regrets] because i DID enough bad probing i spent six months in jail. ha ha. i was kidding on the latter note. Is it not foolish to raise a thunder storm By beating hard upon a drum? .....i agree, though i never tried it. the poem IS filled with poetic and mysterious, if not widely-accepted, wording. i like the poem, but it seems it could allow believers-in-it to be irresponsible and lackadaisical****. [like me sometimes] bri :) **** lack·a·dai·si·cal ˌlakəˈdāzək(ə) l/ adjective adjective: lackadaisical lacking enthusiasm and determination; carelessly lazy. a lackadaisical defense left the Spurs adrift in the second half synonyms: lethargic, apathetic, listless, sluggish, spiritless, passionless; careless, lazy, lax, unenthusiastic, halfhearted, lukewarm, indifferent, unconcerned, casual, offhand, blasé, insouciant, relaxed; informal laid-back, easygoing, couldn't-care-less I was lackadaisical about my training
Bri................ we all know that you do a lot of probing! Who else will probe so deep into the syntax and grammar of each poem as you do! Indeed I am thankful to your probing as I do learn something new each time, you make a critique of my poems! Of course your crazy mind might be doing some bad probing too!
