Love of life lies deep within,
Not in tinsel attire;
If silvery years didn’t learn,
On life it is a great satire.
It is the irony of the silvery years,
Still in the tinsel frame he gears;
Shakespeare made it very clear,
The lighted fools are yester years.
Tomorrow and tomorrow he wander in time-space,
Why truth of life he couldn’t trace?
Perhaps with himself he had no dialogue
He continues as his body’s frog.
Come out of this muddled pond,
With eternal-ocean have your bond.
*Thoughts stirred up by Yoonoos Peerbocus’s poem ‘Silvery Years’.
I think I recognise the irony.. but why do I think of deficits and pecuniary damages? ? ? ? ?
why truth of life he couldn't trace..... loved this? i wish we can all get answer of this.....well done.
A thoughtful poem and also a handsome tribute to Yoonoos ji! 10+ -Raj Nandy

If silvery years didn’t learn, On life it is a great satire True, yet, many are like dog's tail, never to mend despite their silvery years having passed away!
I enjoyed this poem, and I had just gone through Yoonoos' 'Silvery Years' so it was a fitting sequel. Thanks.

Preachings are in abundant.But who inetrospects, who thinks of realisation, revelation and all about the essentials in this helter-skelter world.Only the destined lucky persons do that.Even to differentiate good from evil the third eye should be opened by the Lord.That is destiny.If somebody says ' I've realised the truth of life' it means that they ' ve been destined to realise.And again destiny has time restraints.We become introspective, spiritual, philosophical e.t.c at different, dissimilar stages of our life as per our destiny.Nice response of writing.Thanks for sharing
