Isolation Poem by Mihaela Pirjol

Isolation

Rating: 4.0

Nothing happens…do I wish it?
In a comfortable cage—stagnation:
Seize the day! Carpe Diem!
Dare I to escape the isolation?
Thousands of days, I lived as one;
With nobody, with no-one.

Here's a day, then comes a night;
Another day, then night again;
And the sunshine promises life,
Yet, no effect for inner pain;
With my thoughts, I do converse:
I respond, then we inverse.

For the day, it shows my shadow,
And in the night I sense my ghost;
Still, not alone here in the meadow:
In Nature's beauty I am lost!
With all around in isolation,
My spirit's free: —liberation!

A brilliant poem is so touchingly delineated. Nice penmanship with lofty theme. Thank you dear madam.
