It Is Enough Poem by Meggie Gultiano

It Is Enough

Rating: 4.5

It Is Enough

It is enough that you are here with me
Feeling the nearness of you
As i sit beside you
Watching the sun rise in the east

We live in a beautiful world
So desperately needing each other
Depending, relying, inspiring
A blessing from above.

Waking up each morning,
snuggling your arms around me
Seeing you comfortably sleeping
The sweet aroma of being loved
Is enough....yes, enough

Come..sing to me your melody
A melody of love for all the world to hear
A lullaby that creeps in this very soul
This very soul that hungers and thirsts for you only

Your melody..your song..your lullaby
Oh..this is enough..this is enough

Meggie, i do believe this work could serve as a text-book paradigm for free-flowing structure, and metre, in poetics. This poem glides like a figure skater with new blades on fresly glaced ice.Your penchant for romantic theme is heartwarm, and eloquent.Excellent work, as per usual, young lady! FjR

Breathtakingly beautiful, Meggie. Especially like the 'aroma of being loved' - a classic description. Once you find that right one, it's definitely 'enough'. Eloquently penned, and flows easily along. Linda :)

You're so right Meggie - it's the nearness that matters. I wonder if you remember Hoagie Carmichael's 1930's song 'The nearness of you'. Very romantic. You have taken the music of your beautiful subject and shared it with great passion. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

The best things in life are so simple, there are so many traps, though. So much noise and greed.... Your poems are fresh air. Blow on, Meggie. Merry Christmas.
