Unperceived even in the Vedic chants,
Unsolved even by the cleverest of Gods like, The Brahma
Is the composition of Jayadeva, full of literature, music, and rhythm.
May it sparkle like a light in the minds of wise men.
May this song of Jayadeva,
The son of Bhoja Deva and Radha Devi,
Be sung by best of his friends like Parashara

O! Sweet Honey! Do not think you are the sweetest,
O! Sugar! You are just ordinary sugary pebbles,
O! Grapes! No one will bother to look at you!
O! Milk! You have degraded yourself to the level of water!
O! Golden Mangoes! Even if you cry, you cannot equal the lover's lips.
None of you can, ever, compare with the sweetness of my lyrical
Love strains.
This love song of Jayadeva, a masterpiece, is my humble offering at the lotus feet of the eternal lovers - Radha and Krishna. With reverence, I place it before you in memory of my beloved Mother.
