Letting go of the things that are mortal
For a life promised to be eternal
Is never foolishness if you’ll ask me.
With that, I have the best security.
Cherishing not the things that shall expire
Even though I look at them with desire
Is never hard and heavy sacrifice
If the reward promises no demise.
For the best taste only my mouth waters
And for wisdom only my heart ponders.
Deciding even it’s against my will
So that the true happiness I will feel.
Compromising not of this decision
Will surely give me good disposition.
All of this just for the sake of the best
To survive successfully in life’s quest.
