Let Me Be Your Ink - Poem by Jez Burl

Let me be your ink
when you write poetry
so I could dwell
between the pages
of your diary.

When skies are lonely
and you need a buddy
just turn the pages
of that diary
and there
you will find me.

Adorable metaphor of being there for a friend as a true friend.
    Excellent!

Did you here a thunder in the sky above after you penned down this beautiful piece?
May you were so engrossed in your novel thoughts that you failed to hear it.
But it the heaven's way of appreciation of great penmanship.
Thou art that fluid ink that inspires
A poem whose time moves on, never tires,
And whose immortal appeal never expires.

Than you sir Aniruddha for the heart-warming feedback...though I don't deserve such a great comment from a great poet.

'May you were... no, 'May be, you were...
But it the heaven's... should read 'But it is the heaven's...

There is so much novelty in your thought! Lovely poem quite different from the 'run off the mill' type. You are awarded a full ten Jez! (Report)Reply
