Like A Poem In Waiting Poem by D.N. Rebb

Like A Poem In Waiting

Rating: 5.0

You're like a poem waiting to be written
Like a luscious fruit, yet not forbidden
A golden statue for all to worship
A fine speckle of yellow gold stirred up
An unceasing presence that captivates
Like precious angels at the pearly gate
I humbly plead for a mere sensation
As we offer our standing ovation
Like a rejected sweltering sundae
We melt into your unthreatening ways
An uplifting smile fades into ecstasy
Will we be a part of your destiny?
Sunsets and rises, oh so beautiful
Bright rainbows remain undisputable
Mother Nature paints with conscious purpose
She conceived you out of all her surplus
When you walk, there's smooth rhythm to your steps
Store-fronts beam when your reflection projects
Your auburn hair, the wind thoughtfully fluffs
For shade, a cloud hides the sun just enough
With such a splendor we have been smitten
Just as this poem, that has now been written

Thanks LeeAnn, I did promise to write a more cheerful poem after 'Depression'. So glad you liked it.
