A frog that longed to go beyond
His untidy muddy pond
Hopped along the road
Searching a new abode
Alas, crushed by a car its body was found
A frog that longed to go beyond.....Being mortal as we all long to belong to this earth, even a frog too yet meets its Waterloo, oh what a poignancy while hopping to hope of tomorrow, what a brilliant write by ingenuity of thought, and really unique imagination portraying the lurid demise of a frog, and what a compassion and kindness...thanks for sharing..
Perils of migration. I am reminded of man's migration from the African continents to colonize the world and the perils involved in that endeavor.
A Limerick with a wise message we should be thankful for what we have.
What an amazing imaginative write. Excellently crafted limerick. Very entertaining. Five Stars!
Oh! Hope and the spirit of adventure both crushed under the wheels of time. A poignant poem.

The piece reminded me of the cruel fate of well-fed rats crushed by cars in Johannesburg on daily basis. A well articulated and nicely encapsulated poem. Thanks for sharing Valsa.
This simple limerick says it all for all living animals and man as well! ! thanks Valsa-10
