Limerick: The Gypsy

Rating: 5.0

There once was a pretty young gypsy
Who wandered about in Poughkeepsie.
Every day without fail
She would drink too much ale
And ended up getting quite tipsy.

I liked this limerick and the close attention you paid to the meter of the lines. It reads well.

If you haven't heard of Poughkeepsie before, then you have not read the book THE BOYS IN THE BOAT. My sister recommended it to me, and I really enjoyed reading it. I can't think of the authors' name right now, but you could probably Google it. Oh, I just remembered - - - - - - the author's name is Daniel James Brown.
