Lonely Nights 2 - Poem by Michael P. McParland
Lonely nights are so very long indeed,
aching badly in the heart
and not having one bit of true relief.
These lonely nights just drag on
as I lay here missing you
longing to talk and be with you.
Hold you close and say I love you dear.
Lonely nights where you feel so tired
but cannot sleep from the persistant aching,
missing the one who makes you smile
and sooths the wounds the world is making.
I miss you dear and I want these
lonely nights for both of us to disappear,
be in each others arms resting and snuggling
just like a perfect pair as we are.
I want our hearts to heal by
being with each other experienceing that what's real.
These lonely nights hurt so very much
and all I want is to have your arms
around me tight giving total comfort,
my arms around you too as we both
laugh and talk crying when we need my love.
A trusted bond and loving care,
that is what we truly share
and without you here I'm all alone
and I hurt deep down to my very core.
These lonely nights tear out my heart.
These lonely nights my dear can end for us
just come and rest your head upon my chest
let us snuggle tight while I caress you in loving care,
I just want to hold you my sweet Angel
of true love and light.
I want to be your noble knight,
end these lonely days and nights.
Save you from the sadness I know that you feel,
give you a smile that will last
when with a kiss our love I seal.
I miss you babe and that's for real.
These lonely nights truly are the very hardest
because missing you is the greatest challenge,
not having you is pure saddness.
I love you dear and want you here
to hold in total peace and solace,
to feel you near and know we're both safe now,
give of myself in full to my Queen because I adore her,
hold you tight and kiss you deeply
letting my very heart and soul out.
These lonely nights are true torture.
I love you darling and I long for you,
you are my other half and best friend,
these lonely nights are hell because I miss you dear,
I just want to hold you close and let you know
you're not alone and truly loved.
