Lost At Sea Poem by Thomas Case

Lost At Sea

Rating: 5.0

Her heart was
my port, as I
sailed lost in
those
vagrant waters.
Her eyes were my
lighthouse
through the
fog and the storms
of life.

Oh, how I loved
her
once upon a time,
when I was lost
at sea;
she was my shore,
my harbor of joy.

The nights are darker
without her,
and the Stars
hide their sadness
behind the clouds.

Life has changed,
I am
older now...
colder
now
without her touch.

Such a crystal clear composed poem about love, such loveliest metahores, and yet this is not a thought-provoking poem, but suitable words for an ardent poem upon love, most deserving as The Member Poem Of The Day

Simple and polite but this poem convinces anyone to take it as a nostalgia who have been that way

Oh, what a heartwrenchingly sad but brain-titillating piece! This heartbreaking nugget inspired loads of nostalgic parallels...truly loving souls do indeed similarly love; and do similarly the precious object of their affections, too. Thanks for sharing this sublime opus...kudos!
