Love Poem by Patricia Gale

Love

Rating: 5.0

We search high and low
Looking near and far
Sweeping us off our feet
Our knocking us to the cold hard truth

A natural high
That carries our hearts away
Or leaves us crying in the rain
Feeling the pain of loss

The things we do for love
Looking for answers in a crystal glance
Wondering the pages of air
Interests and common ground

Love the feeling that was born within us
to give and to receive
Sometimes at our back door
or far across the oceans

It can leave us floating on clouds
Or alone and hollow never wanting to go on
What ever this magical feeling is
It can be seen at times

In the eyes of a new bride
In the step of a man who once was alone
In the hands of age walking through the park
Or in the verse of words

Friends love
A man and woman love
What ever the case
May it find you and bless you all the days of your life

I have felt all the joy as well as all the pain you described in this poem. How true it is and how beautifully expressed.
