Love 5 - In Love With Love - Poem by Dr. Geeta Radhakrishna Menon

In Love!
Not with love that dazzles and disappears,
Not with love that rejects and recedes,
Not with love that deliberates and deceives,
Not with love that demands and dominates!

I am not in love with any of these,
I am in love with ‘Love' itself!

Love that is unquestionable,
Love that is unpretentious,
Love that is unpremeditated,
Love that is unparalleled!
Yes! In love with love-
Love that is pure bliss!

A lovely rhetorical poem. Rich flow of thought in colourful truthful words. An absolutely pleasing write-up. Thanks for sharing Geeta. (Report) Reply

    In Love with Love

i relate to this. from my tradition

    God is love.
    Love is the greatest.
Love is the first and greatest commandment.
Love is the mark of the true Christ follower.

you may know (have i mentioned this already?) the greek word for the kind of love you appear to be describing is agape.

yesterday i watched a film called the letters about mother teresa and did a lot of crying. in my age and spiritual condition i cry when i see kindness, cry when i see people doing the right thing... my heart's been growing softer and softer- praise God.

may grace help us to live this love always.

A very beautiful poem which separates and differentiates between an intense but short-lived passion or admiration for someone and true, genuine, real love. Lovely work Geeta! Thank you for sharing... (Report) Reply

It is easy to be infatuated with what one confuses for love, but loving unadulterated love is a joy (Report) Reply

Infatuation fades away. But in true love there is no confusion at all.
    Thanks kelly!
