Time goes quickly when your having fun,
There are no finer memories,
Than those,
That are spent in the sun.
Days when we played outside for hours,
Building dens and picking flowers,
Choosing sweets from the local shop,
Precious days I'd never swop,
For those days in the sun were special and fun,
Straight home from school,
We hurriedly ran,
Time for tea then out to play,
A perfect end to a long school day,
Spent with loved ones,
Who we adored,
We didn't moan that we were bored,
For lives back then,
Were lived and loved,
We'd pray at church to god above,
To thank him for the special things,
Of love and life,
And all it brings.
