Lucent Dreams Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

Lucent Dreams

Rating: 4.3

Lucent Dreams

I just saw the moon slide
through the gray veil of the cloud
why is she in a hurry?
with her moonlike temperament,
just surround the earth
or explore another galaxy?

constant sliding
sometimes hiding
every month again

now she's here, a fragile dot,
but still she has something
that keeps me from my task, a very lot

I must correct:
tonight she's a tad bigger than a dot

am I seeing you again soon?
you will be for me an aspiring boon
