Luminous Level.... Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

Luminous Level....

Rating: 5.0

Luminosity rectify
darkest corners
in my memory

shouting sirenes
amongst the crowd
on the Ramblas
crying coffee cups
and tapaz
and future victims
and the bloody wash

shocked as we all are
myself the most
that darkest corner
in my memory
had criminal intents

on the TV news
Catalan cops shot
five living targets
dead on the spot

the enemy's killings intent
more bombings on their plan
they experienced
one greatest failure
not one exposure
none explosure

despite no explosion
there was much tension
innocent blood shed
much turmoil in my head

it occurred on friday-night
luminosity rectify
remained darkest
in the corners of my ratio
in the corners of my memory
luminous rectify,
dunno why,
I don't know why….

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Endured upon the Ramblas, Catalonia in Spain. All the Spanish journalists thought: This is another Terrorist Attack, but later on, after the Police Corps shot the "terrorists" to death, we all discovered through the TV News, that some teenagers from Spanish parents (foreign descent, but Spanish inhabitant)had done that,
they failed with the "bombs". They acted independent, their parents were shocked, they had never known what their teenage sons were doing in their spare time. According to mature minds: This is really dangerous, but as teenagers without any influence of the Terrorist Org they were thinking just as kids in their game-world. What an occurrence, three long days every citizen in tension, included their family, and whole Spain one week long.

Please, know this reality,
Enjoy reading, thank you so much,

God's Blessings,

COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Nudershada Cabanes 12 May 2018

A very saddening reality. Sometimes even the most innocent looking kids can have an evil intent without meaning to be evils and this bring us to the state of affairs in our world today. Everyday we hear on the news and see on tv the happenings around the world and this somehow could influence the minds of those young people.

Despite no explosion, tension comes and such activity provokes thought. But dark corners are expelled by luminosity of the light. The reality painted in memory carries sadness and wonderfully this is expressed here. We get such news daily in newspaper and TV. An amazing poem is excellently presented is very thought provoking...10

A brilliant poem that vividly depicts a horrendous incident that shocked the core of our hearts and minds. After reading this poem, a question is left in the mind how can young people could ever entertain the idea of committing dastardly acts. Youth are the future of tomorrow. How can the next generation be secured of heinous crimes if the minds of the young people are tainted with evil spirits.
