The golden sand stretching at one km length
Sandwiched b'tween
The Mojarda beach in the north
And Colva beach in the south
Calm in its look
But, peace you book
All the while you hook
To the beach we often unlook.
Apt to club at night
To find the true delight
Walking along the sea side
As neon light makes it bright.
The phytoplankton dinoflagellate here
Disturbed by tidal flow striking the shore
Secretes the light-emitting pigment they bore
Making the tide to don the blueish glow attire.
As if the sea sparkles
Or reflection of moon circles
Making the mood to trickle
As the nature performs miracle.

This is so fascinating, educational and beautiful! It's in my List.
We humans can witness this natural phenomenon when there is lots of bioluminescence in the water, usually from an algae bloom of plankton. The bioluminescent sea will glow when it's disturbed by a wave breaking or a splash in the water at night.
Beautiful write on shinning beaches of Goa. Loved the way you have woven the words.
The great images made me at close range with the beach. Nice rhyme and flow if words. Top Marks!
Belbatim beach shines in this marvelous poem. Beautifully written tribute of a wonderful beach.
