Make Everything New Poem by Uriah Hamilton

Make Everything New

Rating: 5.0

Electric moment,
Heartbeats ecstatic,
I’m convinced
I can disintegrate
My forlorn history,
Drive breathlessly
Through the portal
Of a new dream,
Scream at the top
Of my excitedly burning lungs
Until the sleeping winos
On crumbling sidewalks
Pick up my cue,
Grab their bottles
And begin to dance.
I can make everything new,
Reshape the uncertainties
Until I understand
Mystical destiny
And escape
The chains of sorrow
That thought
I was the prisoner
Of yesterday’s
Calamitous tears!

Excellent work Uriah. This has a great pace to it and seems longer than it actually is. The lines Until the sleeping winos/ On crumbling sidewalks/ Pick up my cue, are excellent. The imagery is second to none

Great life in this poem, Uriah. The exhilaration is palpable! I understand that rare feeling, and it's worth everything. I echo everything Hugh said. Esther : ]

Very beautiful, visual piece of work. I could literally see in my mind's eye everything you wrote about (I especially liked the dancing winos - lol) . Well done. S

Uriah: This is a lovely, flowing poem. It moves incredibly well from strong image to strong image. It speaks not only to the mind but to the heart as well. It clearly comes from your heart and spirit. Be blessed in your continuing work! I look forward to reading more from you. Hugh
