May You Always Be
May you always be in every way
a part of me, a sister, friend I pray
May you find your dreams beyond the sunset
And sing a song and hear the softest heart beat
May I be your wings that you can fly,
be with me in rough sailing, low and high.
To touch, to listen, to love, to laugh, to cry
and on your shoulder, be your strength and hear you sigh.
May you shine and sparkle like a diamond
A petal, a flower that blooms too soon
A flicker in a lighted candle
the tiny curve of the crescent moon.
And…may you always be a blessing to others..
And my friend forever
